Do you remember the shock of the silver award last month in the IoM from the Guild of Photographers? The competition where I said, and I quote, “the number of Golds isn’t usually enormous. For an outdoor dog portrait, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Gold (but I am more than happy to be proved wrong)!“.

Well, it happened.

We got the Gold!

I can’t not mention the two accompanying silvers, one which means that the image is a double silver awarded portrait from two different associations:

Not to be outdone, a very special photo took the Gold in a very very busy qualified Portrait category over at the Master Photographers Association. Solo and Mia were said to be “true perfection” in this image. The critiquer said, “20 of you could have got gold if this image hadn’t have been entered.” Wow!

I promise the MPA that I will get my panel in to move up a level soon – when I have all my ducks in a row!

Excited to see what happens next!
