Is it going to be easy?
Honestly, Squarespace is by far the easiest CMS for users to get to grips with. However, like everything, there will be a little bit of a learning curve. It’s much easier to understand than a camera, and easier still than Photoshop, so if you can make your way around both of those, this will be as simple as can be.

Can I sell my photos online through the template?
Squarespace isn’t a web gallery website like Pixiset or Smugmug, but in fairness, the majority of working professional portrait photographers do not show their clients their images in online web galleries. For this reason, and because we don’t recommend it (ever), it’s not a problem that there isn’t in-built functionality.
That being said, you can upload images in a gallery format, and you can implement some plugins and code to host a gallery on your website.
You also absolutely can sell individual prints, items, vouchers and so on through the Squarespace shop functionality (which is just as beautiful as everything else), and then add a new shop page to the template when you get set up.
Why does it take 2 days to set-up?
The creation of a new website from the Template is a manual process that can’t be automated or switched into a download format. The 2 days is for us to personally get everything set up for you, ready to go, and you’ll get an email from Squarespace when we’re done!
Who designed this template?
That would be Jess.
You might know Jessica McGovern as the face of That Tog Spot, and leader of the pet photographers, however, you might not know that before all of this blew up, she was a graphic and web designer, web developer and marketing strategist. She’s designed and built websites for hundreds of different companies and it was this company that she started which funded the building of The Studio, back in Yorkshire.
Jess is a high-level designer, she’s worked with big brands (like Microsoft) and she really does know her stuff. You’re in good hands, promise.
I already have a Squarespace site, but I want this template. How does it work?
This is a trickier one to cover but we’ve found that if you use your existing Squarespace login email to purchase the template (or tell us which one to add as the administrator), you can then reach out to Squarespace support to switch the domain connections and re-route your site.
The benefit of this process is that you can have the draft (template) website full ready to go before you each out to Squarespace Support, giving you oodles of time to get sorted ready for the switchover.
How do I switch the template content with my own?

Can I learn more about using my website to grow?
Of course! This template was originally created to provide a simple website for those who needed one as part of Unit 5 of Business Bootcamp.
