Is this for me?
These workshops are suitable for everyone who wants to know how to reach their target market using organic (free) social media as a marketing tool.
It doesn’t matter if you’re from England or Australia, Brazil or Taiwan, social media is global and should be implimented by all businesses in some way.
Ever wondered why some people have highly engaged social media followings?
No idea how to set up your social profiles for the best results?
You have your accounts, but you're not reaching your target market?
Have zero consistent content strategy?
Terrified of Reels/TikToks?
We’ve got you.
Workshop 1:
Social Media 101
9am – 4pm, 28th February 2026 [GMT], on Zoom
This is the perfect introductory full-day class covering a lot of very important core content for absolute social beginners, or those who have accounts but cannot gain any traction. The workshop aims to:
- Introduce the core social media platforms that portrait photographers use
- Instagram,
- Facebook, and
- TikTok.
- Provide instructions on best practice set-ups for your own accounts,
- Dive into Algorithm 101,
- Outline a framework to hit your first 100 followers if you’re starting from zero.
We will make every effort to record this class for those who are unable to attend live. If successful, the recording will be shared within 48 hours with those who have a valid participant’s ticket. We may release the recording as a Workshop Replay add-on for Members in the MTog Vault at a later date.
Workshop 2:
Social Media for Photographers
9am – 4pm, 18th April 2026 [BST], on Zoom
The workshop has a minimum entry requirement for participants. To join, you must meet one of the two options below:
- You have more than 100 followers on a photography business social media channel, OR
- You attended (or are attending) the Social Media 101 Online Workshop.
This workshop aims to:
- Build on existing knowledge of the core platform algorithms,
- Explore organic (non-paid) social media strategies to reach your target market,
- Deep dive short form content (video) and share how you can do it (you can!),
- Outline a social media plan for your business.
We will make every effort to record this class for those who are unable to attend live. If successful, the recording will be shared within 48 hours with those who have a valid participant’s ticket. We may release the recording as a Workshop Replay add-on for Members in the MTog Vault at a later date.

How do I access the Workshop?
The session will be delivered live on Zoom for the entire day.
We’ll use one single-access link that all students with tickets to join will have delivered via email 48-hours before the start time. This link will be sent via email from [email protected] and it is important that you check you have this link the day it is sent, as the Tog Team won’t be in the office before 9am on Workshop day!
Around 8:50am on the day (in the timezone noted), you should try to join the Zoom call via the provided link. It may be worth doing a test for your Zoom the day before, and if you need any help getting onto Zoom in the days prior, please let us know!
We commence with the workshop at 9am, please try to be on time.
I'm not in the UK, can I join?
Yes, our live Zoom sessions are joined by students all over the globe, from the far east to the far west. Time zones are tough, but students manage! Often, they book out a rest day on one side or the other to ensure they’re well rested for the class and their normal lives too!
The workshops will be delivered in English.
Can MTogs join?
Of course! Anyone is welcome to join the workshop, and this one will join up all the dots, and then some, with the associated social media & marketing resources in the Business section of the Vault well.
P.S. MTogs, your unique discount code will work on this ticket!
Will the Workshop be recorded?
Every effort will be made to record the day in full for those with tickets to play back at their leisure. However, the duration of the session may cause recordings to fail, so please note that no refunds will be given if students are unable to attend live and the recording is rendered incomplete.
If the recording is successful, it may be released as a Workshop Replay inside the Members Vault as an Add-On option. It will be removed the moment the content inside becomes out of date when platforms and algorithms change.
