Online Part-Live Part-Prerecorded Course [Bootcamp]

Video Bootcamp

Photography Level: Inter+
Status: Pre-Enrollment
Type: Bootcamp
Access: 12 months*

An 8-week mixed learning experience of live support sessions, pre-recorded lessons and individual video feedback to maximise student success.

Aim:

To upskill working photographers, allowing them to create eye-catching, technically sound slow-motion video handheld on their own mirrorless cameras.

Perfect for self-promotion, personal pet projects (literally!), or upsells for paying photographic clients.

You will need:

  • Dedication, and;
  • A mirrorless camera.

Please note: Bootcamp enrolment is limited!

Mirrorless Camera?

[Sony A-series, Canon R-series, Nikon Z-series]

Great, you can do this course!

Not on Mirrorless yet?

You can absolutely take this course, but your camera and lens weren’t built for video life, so you might have limitations in focus, exposure, and the level of slow-mo that you can actually get to.

What this course isn’t:

A how-to on using your camera for entry-level photographic skills (exposure triangle, white balance, composition etc)

A how-to for producing interviews, ‘talking head’ or ‘vox pops’ with mic’d audio and stabilisation off-camera.

What this course is:

A handheld, slow-motion-only course that uses equipment you already own, and free video editing software, to keep entry costs super low! Optional ND filters are your call.

Dedicated to the production of eye-catching reels, ads, website section backgrounds and similar, like the examples below, or the ones elsewhere on this page!

What is a Bootcamp?

Since Studio Bootcamp first ran, all our Bootcamps follow the exact same format.

Essentially, a Bootcamp is a part-live, part-prerecorded online course where you get teleported into a secret community area of our Members Vault. In here, you can mix and mingle with others taking the course, consuming the lessons at the exact same time.

It boosts learning because you can literally learn from others!

Our Bootcamps have two types of student spaces depending on what you want to learn, when, and how. These student types are ‘Working Students’ and ‘Auditors’.

Working Student

Fully immersed, this learning type gives maximum gains but is limited in number. Every Working Student gets the following:

All Pre-Recorded Lessons

Your questions answered on Live Support Sessions

Learn from student questions on Support Sessions

Playback all Support Sessions

Direct Feedback on Own Videos

Learn from others Feedback

Auditor

Like an observant fly on the wall, this learning type is perfect for those who don’t have time to jump in, but want to be involved. Every auditor gets:

All Pre-Recorded Lessons

Your questions answered on Live Support Sessions

Learn from student questions on Support Sessions

Playback all Support Sessions

Direct Feedback on Own Videos

Learn from others Feedback
